Continuing to try GPT on existing prompts that deleivered pleasing results in other models, I tried the young dragon prompt. Two things appear to trigger GPT's safety filter: 1. Never use the word 'young' 2. Use of artist names. I think, but must make a more specific note that this applies to artists who are still alive. Image 1 is GPT. Didn't note the other model but have generally been using hidream, lucid, seedream, wan.

I like GPT the texture and the art style but it had one wing positioned wrong. The 2nd one is good in it's way but reminds me more of a Pixar movie style, more cgi 3d style. I like it too but prefer gpt's results. It's interesting because on nc where i do the challenge posts, half of the people I feature use gpt. Surprisingly I haven't used it much. I think I'll try it out more often.

@DavidP So the prompt was more like the Pixar style and GPT added all the texturing and watercolor vibe? That's interesting. I like it a lot but I don't like models tending to go heavily into a style so it becomes recognizable as from CoPilot or SeeDream. I'd want it to have my stamp on it enough that people don't know what AI model I use

Thanks. That's true (about the wing) I noticed but given it was more a style experiment, I opted not to try again and hope for a better result. - Agree with you on the style comments. - Based on the prompt, I think GPT leant to far into its own stylistic preference.

I think more so in the original post, though I didn't research the original artists work. The GPT version did have more of its signature painted styling. But it does appeal to me, so not disappointed

Ah yes, I see the resemblance to the ones I posted. I have found with a lot of models, they have signature elements that are hard to overcome. It is a super cute little dragon though (both versions) 🥰

  • @DavidP ·

Original a fantasy ilustration, styled after a classic illustrator. - Like you I prefer to have a style that is either after an artist or my own but not obviously a specific model

  • @CaylaCatz ·

@DavidP I like gpt painted style too. It's also got a storybook vibe that suits the dragon. Cool job and thanks for sharing on the two different models

  • @CaylaCatz ·

@DavidP Did it get any of the flavor of the fantasy or the classic illustrator that you were after?

  • @DavidP ·

Thanks. I also noticed this. I think DE-3, GPT, and Flux do require more effort to influence the style. - Agreed, the results in both instances were pleasing to my eye
