Woman with rolling suitcase holds keycard at room 2317 door, surprised barefoot woman stands inside facing her.
This tense cinematic still captures an unexpected encounter at hotel room 2317, where a traveler wearing a tan trench coat carries a leather tote and holds up her keycard next to her rolling black suitcase. A barefoot, surprised woman in a crisp white button-down and black trousers stands inside the warm dimly lit hotel suite, with takeout food containers, a sofa, and side table lamp visible in the cozy, moody interior, building dramatic narrative tension.

**Sapphic Encounters: The Room Key That Wasn't Mine** Sapphic Encounters is a series of romantic mini-novellas about two adult women whose lives cross completely by chance—women of different ages, backgrounds, cultures, careers, and social worlds who have every reason to remain strangers. A wrong room key, a missed ferry, a broken-down car, a sudden storm, or one unexpected mistake gives them just enough time together for curiosity to become attraction and attraction to become something neither expected. Told in first person, each story captures that exhilarating moment when an ordinary day suddenly changes direction, ending not with happily-ever-after, but with something smaller and perhaps even more exciting: the promise of a first date.
