bounty hunter's light cleansing fear, anger, revenge heaven's road opens ©2026 In the Ring, the ghost was killed and they were left with an unending voracious hunger for revenge against all living beings. But in the end, they were wronged first. So in my story, my bountyhunter collects rewards if he releases the monster ghosts who kill from their fears and anger. His magical lantern gives them understanding and opens them back up to who they might have become in a parallel kinder world. So their true spirit is pulled away from their anger which blows away in the wind. If he succeeds, the ghost moves onto a happier plane and leaves earth. And he will be rewarded. Because the peaceful soul is his bounty. If he fails, if the ghost holds onto their anger and fear. Then they fight. He will destroy the vengeful ghost or the ghost will destroy him. If he has to fight, he has a runic knife that glows cyan and eats dark souls. The knife itself is a dark thing and hungers for souls. He also has a gun with bullets carved with runes. The gun offers a cleaner death for the angry soul but it's rare he has the time to draw it. He has to get too close for the lamp to finish purifying a soul. He himself is already dead, killed the first time by a vengeful ghost before another bounty hunter destroyed that ghost. Like others he was trained by a select group. He will fight until his second and final death. He has chosen to do this work because of a prophecy that saving the right monster and sending them on will save his daughter. He doesn't know he already saved her. The second ghost he saved, a dozen years ago, was the one who would have taken her. HIs daughter is an angry young woman. She doesn't know why her father disappeared when she was 10. She doesn't know he died. She doesn't know he lives to save her. She seeks these answers so has become a hunter in her own right, following the threads of strange stories, hoping to find him. 1. GPT2 Lo 2. NB 2 Lite 3. Recraft 4

About this image

This atmospheric dark fantasy illustration features a grim, leather-clad monster hunter holding an ornate glowing lantern at the edge of a weathered ancient stone well in a misty moonlit forest. Warm golden beams from the lantern illuminate an ethereal cursed water spirit rising from the well, glowing with soft golden light and wreathed in a faint teal magical aura. The scene uses moody cool teal shadow tones contrasted against bright radiant light, building a tense, mysterious supernatural fairytale mood.

This atmospheric dark fantasy illustration depicts a grizzled, armored monster hunter holding a glowing enchanted lantern while standing in a misty, bioluminescent haunted woodland. Perched on an ancient mossy stone well beside him is a terrifying dual-form spirit, half serene living woman and half screeching rotting undead ghoul, caught in the beam of the hunter's lantern against cool teal shadowy forest tones. The moody, horror-themed artwork builds tense supernatural atmosphere, centered on a cursed forest encounter with an unholy shifting spirit.

This atmospheric dark fantasy concept art depicts a tense supernatural encounter between a ragged, lantern-wielding explorer standing on a rocky outcrop and two ethereal ghostly spirits resting on a carved ancient stone pedestal. The moody, rainy jungle setting features cascading waterfalls, hanging moss, and faint glowing cyan bioluminescent fungi lining a dark forest pool, with cool slate and teal tones contrasted by the warm beam of light from the explorer's lantern. The haunting, suspenseful scene leans into gothic fantasy and folk horror themes, capturing an eerie meeting in a forgotten overgrown wilderness ruin.

I'm glad my images made you think of the ring as that movie is the inspiration for this ghost. Funny thing is I don't like horror movies so I never saw it but it is so famous I've seen bits and pieces of it and that girl in lots of different things like gifs
