This moody dark fantasy illustration shows a fully armored feudal Japanese samurai standing watch along a castle perimeter wall, as smoky, sumi-e style ninja figures materialize out of the plaster wall in a stealthy ambush. The scene is lit by warm glowing stone lanterns and a bright full moon peeking through cloudy night skies, with a traditional multi-tiered Japanese castle keep visible in the distant background. Deep cool blue night tones contrast sharply with warm golden lantern light, emphasizing the tense, dramatic standoff between the guard and spectral ninja attackers.

Eerie shadow shinobi ninja figures appear to materialize out of the castle's plaster wall, rendered as inky, smoky splashes, under an ominous glowing red blood moon hanging in the night sky. The scene uses deep cool midnight tones contrasted with warm faint ambient light, building a tense, foreboding atmosphere of impending ambush.
