  thanks! I am not sure i have followed you yet. I'll go look at your content. Did you read my comments about the notification lists here? If you want an audience you might want to consider adding yourself to them (to see other users content in that list), and you can include the notification list in your posts so it will be noticed. It can be wicked hard to get noticed here.

  yeah. Im suprised i was able to manipulate this to land in first spot in the gallary. What makes me sad is when I create something that i think is fantastic, and no one else sees it. I wish there was some way to make sure that new content gets surfaced into the feed correctly. Though come to think of it, i'm not sure how content gets into the feed, nor if everyone/anyone uses the feed.

Its popularity has waned a bit - mostly because it can be hard to see things if you get a lot of notifications.   there are also a few public notification lists : @germancowboy has an L3 and an L4 list here : https://budgetpixel.com/blog/gc-news To see L4 on budgetpixel you have to be notified. it is not discoverable. Even mature (L3) is not surfaced to a lot of users. Their notifications can help get attention.

  Reading through your experiment, I know there has to be some algorithm with it, but I'm not concerned with it. I have my gallery to show recent posts and I go through them when I visit to see what's out there.

  the question is - how do you get interactions early. You need likes and comments early to hit the gallary, or to be surfaced in the feed. If you dont get likes and comments early, you're doomed.

  im not sure i understand the algorithm to get into the gallary or feed. I think there is some recency needed. This made it up to the third row with just my stream of comments.

  On occasion, I'll catch the other comments, but its rare. I do like to see the people I relate too, or follow more receive the comments they do, because it's well earned.
