I said, “Do I need gold sculptural heels?” The salesgirl said, “Define need.” I said, “Can I walk in them?” She said, “That’s not really the point, is it?” Now I’m leaving with bags in both my hands, Making very optimistic payment plans, The doorman said, “Need a cab, ma’am?” I said, “No, I need applause for who I am.” At home I opened every fancy box, Lined them up like museum rocks, My closet groaned, “There’s no room in here!” I said, “Relax, we’ll move the winter gear.” Just one more pair!
