**Target engaged!** Original for QT: **HUD, Third Person Point of View** --- In the recent Mars Survival DC there were many submissions featuring HUDs (Head-Up Display) on helmet visors. While there were a couple that I saw which were first person point of view ie displayed from the viewpoint of the person wearing the helmet, most were third person PoV ie somebody else viewing the person and their helmet. It only struck me some time after the challenge ended that for third person PoV the display should be mirrored, back-to-front, since it should be legible to the person wearing the helmet. Here my attempts to create an image with a more realistic HUD from a third person PoV. I've included the best 4 of many. I think GPT2 gets close but not 100% Perhaps you can 'crack the code' and generate better results. And for this, the challenge is achieving it with GAI, rather than getting close and fixing with a digital editor afterwards

About this image
This cinematic sci-fi artwork centers on a starfighter pilot mid-orbital combat, wearing a futuristic flight helmet fitted with a glowing heads-up display (HUD) that tracks enemy contacts, shield strength, hull integrity, and flight performance metrics. Moody dark charcoal and navy base tones are cut through by bright neon blue and orange HUD graphics, while the cockpit viewport reveals a sprawling interstellar battle between warships exchanging laser fire above a distant planet. This high-tension military sci-fi concept art captures the pressure of frontline space combat, appealing to fans of interstellar warfare and futuristic sci-fi media.
This hyper-realistic cinematic sci-fi artwork features a tense close-up of a focused space fighter pilot in their starfighter cockpit, their flight helmet’s glowing blue and orange neon HUD projecting targeting readouts, ship metrics, and an enemy lock over their face. Outside the cockpit viewport, a chaotic interstellar space battle unfolds above a distant planet, with military capital ships exchanging red laser fire and explosions lighting up the
This cinematic sci-fi artwork captures a high-stakes interstellar space battle from the cockpit of a starfighter, centering on a focused fighter pilot whose tactical helmet heads-up display (HUD) locks onto an enemy spacecraft mid-combat. The dark, matte black flight gear and glowing cyan and orange HUD interface contrast with the chaotic, laser-lit space scene beyond the canopy, where capital ships and starfighters exchange fire above a planet’s atmospheric curve

cool ideas. i would assume the 3rd person wouldnt be able to see these... but it's an interesting problem isn't it?
Very cool images David!! Love the 'heads up display' on his helmet visor!!
@legion ·
Good, Did you reverse them or did the letters come out backwards?
