In Greece a series by that name (British was the original) was published in magazine form. When it was completed, people who had the issues went to the publisher and he got them book-bound in a series of 5 hardcovers. In there is were Ieaned about many paranormal subjects. I was 12-13 yo at the time and and older friend of mine got them and we read them together. Much, much later, I found the out-of-print set in a usedbooks store and now it's in my bookcase!) <Me neither, bro! 😁>

Hmm, it was a big hardcover book with a dark background and an alien head on the front iirc. Each chapter was a different collection of phenomena and theories. [No thanks. I barely ever talk to randoms IRL, especially not ones with glowing red embers for eyes tyvm lol😋]

Perhaps we are talking about the same one. Was it in the format of an encyclopedia? (Just a squatter, huh? Why don't you go and ask him... or... it... 😃)

I had a big book called "The Unexplained" as a teen. It was full of weird stories and accounts. idk how the 1st one is supernatural though, he's just a squatter...right?

The first one looks amazingly authentic, I'd easily mistake it for an actual movie still. Also, the ghost's dirty hands is a wonderful small detail.

It is indeed! Really spooky things happen in cities... (ghost-hunters like these kids here, don't actually believe it... but some times.....)

Thank you! Weel, in Greece there is no particular name. It is a sub-category of the "Phantom-HitchHiker" Urban Legend
