that's because hearing aids raise all sounds the same while the ear tends to raise the sounds we want to listen to and fade the rest. However, if you need to survive, then all sounds become improtant and you pay attention to even smallest sounds. Scent is probably the same

lol, there are many stories of people have fox brides. So you have to be very very careful which fox you pick as not all of them are nice. Looks at her... I don't know. Maybe she's nice???

If "Liaozhai" is to be believed, you are a better chance at happiness with a huli jing than with a human. When I was very young and started reading the book for the first time, I had a big crush on Yingning. Well, she was not a huli jing per se, but her mother was, and she was raised by a ghost lady--and turned out to be the happiest girl on earth.
