This series explores the subtle relationship between environment, identity, and presentation through a simple but deliberate contrast. By capturing the same locations twice—once with bare feet and once with high heels—the images shift between states of vulnerability and construction, intimacy and performance. The bare foot suggests direct contact with the world: natural, unfiltered, and grounded in place. The introduction of the heel transforms that relationship, adding distance, intention, and a layer of aesthetic design. Together, the pairs invite the viewer to consider how context and self-expression alter perception, turning ordinary spaces into stages where meaning is shaped not just by location, but by how we choose to inhabit it.
