Yes, this a problem - most paperbacks in these places look like the have gone through a tour of duty (or four) in the Zone. People are not careful when reading these. Me, my paperbacks (the vast majority of then) look brand new. (My resident vampire woman makes fun of me on that 😃) BUT, with things as they are, older titles vanishing rapidly into the Limbo of Out-Of-Prinn-tess, heck, even a mildly battle-worn PB would be wellcome if the alternative is not to ever read that title

your library sounds cool. I rarely buy any book new, so my library is a bit scrambled and a little worn --well some are very work as I read the book more than once. Hmmm, maybe the Librarian should grab your library books out of the Zone befoe they get destroyed by the war and the environment. Looks like a lot of broken windows there and that's not good for books!

Oh, yes, I know all that... I have almost memorized the books :):):) I meant her physical appearance. (That monent, were Geralt - who up until then was passing himself as "of Rivia" without having anything to do with that country, just to give himself an air of respectability - is named by Meve Sir Geralt of Rivia was one of the funniest moments of the book series. Classic Sapkowski irony!

Thank you! I read two of Jirel's stories as a teen and was immediately impressed. Years later a got all of them in a book - there are not many. I d' recommend them. I don't know how Meve is depicted in this game, since I have not played it yet. (The computer game, I mean) I remember her from the books. Oh, yes, and she was in the most recent season

!!!!!! Really??? That's GREAT and it makes me very glad that the image brought the story to your mind!! I confess, here, that because I have years and years to read it, when I went to create the image, I seemed to remember the horses as black, but I see now it was a false memory, very propably triggered by the story's title.

Thank you very much, David! I was thinking for a long time to do such images, did Zelazny almost as an afterthought for the DC - and then you went and made a QT of it. Now you started me for good on this subjext and I THANK you for it!!

Meve is a formidable front-line commander, similar to Jirel, but she has no supernatural abilities or adventures. She is a political underdog and is the Lady that gave Geralt his title, which eventually led him to her distant relatives in Cintra and ultimately Ciri.😃

Thank you vey much! Jirel's "Lion-Yellow" or "Amber" eyes, as described by C.L. Moore is her most striking feature. I told the model to take special care so that they are clearly visible, that is the reasom GPT chose a close-up portrait!

oh I forgot this tidbit. I should save it in case I ever get to th zone. The rate it is going, I'll probably be the last one in and make it just when you all close the rift for good!

Indeed!!! I have tried to depict one of the most memorable scenes in it several times. Demonic Black (or Flaming) horses galloping in a twilight field. I think I have posted one in here.
