Epic fantasy scene with a fiery phoenix over a steampunk city

About this image

A vibrant fantasy artwork depicting a colossal phoenix blazing above a steampunk-inspired cityscape, complete with airships, intricate mechanical structures, and cascading waterfalls. That works for me. Did you accidentally delete me? Just wondering. The reply button and delete button were so close to each other and I've accidentally deleted comments more than once. And the worse thing is if you delete the top comment, all the comments below it get deleted, not just that one but all the back and forth conversation. It made me feel sooo guilty when I did it... and then when I did it again. It's not so bad now because they moved the delete under the 3 dots. So far since then I've had no accidents even when I've clicked on edit. Crossing my fingers.

This is a GPT 1.5 image (medium) and the prompt is just this: "JulesVernepunk, Phoenixpunk, Agarthapunk, Surrealismpunk" It is a style started by @CaylaCatz where we invent -punk styles (accordind to cyberpunk, steampunk etc.) mash them up and see what the AI model does with it. For details see Cala's many blogs on this, most recent of which is https://budgetpixel.com/blog/punk-daily-challenge-april-9-15-2026 for which this image was made.

.....Damned Fairies!! Messing in my posts, now?!!! I'll show them!!!! Alas, Cayla....I cannot remember....Maybe that the wkole tapestry of wonders in the image has as its fountain the Phoenix's Imagination, being at the center of the image

It's so wonderful, it makes my eyes do a happy dance. And I love that airship. I feel like they are headed towards a rift in space that will throw them into a world where physics follows no rules.

Mt problem - ONE - of my problems - is too much words, no editing skills. Which brings me to the blog. Please respond at once to the question in my comment on your catdragon post

I came over ot view your reply. Something about the Phoenix being in the center but it's disappeared. Where did it go? What did you say? Dying of curiousity now, lol

• @panos · Apr 15, 2026

Heh!! I went overdrive with this prompt mix. Surrealism came to my mind when I saw the Artist-Punks ideas. It was GOOD that I added it!

• @CaylaCatz · Apr 19, 2026

well, I'm glad you found other missing conversations. I don't know how you keep up, lol, with all your story lines

Hahaha, sure, my friend! I'm also doing a Wednesday version, but I only agreed with you on the surrealism.
