About this image

A high-energy post-apocalyptic battle scene featuring a central, muddy, attire-smeared man delivering a fearless gesture amid armed soldiers firing toward advancing zombie figures. The desaturated, gritty setting with ruined buildings and a distant ferris wheel conveys a dystopian disaster atmosphere, enhanced by the radioactive symbol on the canister and cinematic action cues.

Thank you! some years back I was browsing on another site. They had a close-knit community and you saw such things, four or five people doing images with the avatars or characters of all of them in and it was great! @CaylaCatz and @suga2309 started me on this here. Then @EternaSky and @dirty_viker had the kinfness to play in the Zone.. and it's HUGE fun!!

Yeah, he poved to be excellent Stalker stuff!! (We were just wondering where did he go, started to worry - and then we see him running towards us, screaming his head off like his team had just won at the Super ball, with a horde of mutants after him)

  • @CaylaCatz ·

Cracking up! @dirty_biker looks so happy as he runs off with the goods! Good thing you are both there to protect him!

@panos she was a creation with little input from me. I kinda want to create something with more intention.

  • @Sealine ·

Maybe someday I can come up with someone for the zone.

  • @Sealine ·

This is awesome! Love the cross over between users!

  • @CaylaCatz ·

laughing, sounds like he had a good time

sure David, bear with me, I will try not to bore you (much😃) The origin is The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games. The concept is that the Chenobyl nuclear disaster functioned as akind of rift in reality. That made the Exclusion Zone - a huge area of evacuated territory around the Chernobly NPP a place where weird things happen, strange creatures wander, Anomalies (small pockets of Unreality) manifest, at the heart of which, sometimes you can find Artifacts, objects of unreal properties etc. Many factions of humans heve entered the Zone, despite it being prohibited and enforced by the military: Scientists, fanatics, ideologists and most of all Stalkers: individuals - scavengers, really - who brave the Zone's dangers to obtain and smuggle the very valuable Artifacts out of it. I took it from there and added my very own elements in it. Of course, the Chernobyl Disaster and the Exclusion Zone REALLY happened (see HBOs exceelent series of a few years back for incredible details on that

...horrible event. (Note, the idea for the game and its name also owes hugely to a SF novel by the soviet authors Strugatsky brothers, Roadside Picnic (1972). There the concept is an area where aliens have landed and gone, leaving after them a territory where weird things happen, with Stalkers going there to explore and make money. This was later made int the famous movie "Stalker" (1979) by soviet director Andrei Tarkovsky. so the game designers took the concept of the book and movie and transferred it in the Chernobyl area. Whew! That's all...

  • @panos ·

Oh, that's an Artifact in there, we scavenger Stalkers use such canisters to transport them in. And OF COURSE it's shielded!! ...welll... sort of....
