Apunkalypse: a broad trope used by tvtrope.org to cover all those shows that have an apunkalypse: an apocalypse followed by gangs of lawless punks the same fashion sense terrorizing everybody until a hero rises (or gets volunteered or accidentally beats the punks through sheer clumsiness or luck). Apunkalypse's such a perfect word. TV Trope's description of an apunkalypse: "Societies rise, fall, and collapse. Thus has it been throughout history. I know the feeling, things build up and I prefer not to make too many posts per day. Especially the QTs as I don't want to flood people. ANd these days most of what I create is QTs

"Bonnie Tyler belts out "Holding out for a hero!" I think what is needed in THIS world is Tina Tunrer's "We don't need another Hero" You know why, and THAT particular hero is certainly needed here!

Yeah, The TV trope guys did a good job coming up with that word for all the different apocalypse genres with roving gangs.
