About this image

A haunting concept artwork depicting a Native American figure standing in a cracked desert by a desolate river. In the background, ruined huts and distant factories billow smoke under a fiery sunset, illustrating a dystopian clash between indigenous heritage and industrial decay. The moody colors and barren trees emphasize environmental collapse and a sense of resilience.

A surreal, cinematic scene shows a lone figure standing at a cracked, parched foreground, gazing toward a divided horizon where serene cottages fade into a distant, smoky industrial complex. The mood blends calm nature with looming pollution, using muted greens and grays to convey environmental tension and post-apocalyptic themes.

A derelict wooden house sits under a blue-gray fog, its siding weathered and parts boarded up. Ivy climbs the facade as a solitary figure peers from a window, creating a haunting, cinematic mood. The cracked earth and desolate landscape enhance the eerie, mystery-filled atmosphere.

🤣 not sufficiently well-versed to know if it would be a Freudian slip or not, but irrespective, I'd say all is good and no need to feel guilty. --- why not start by looking at all Mentions, then go view the latest set of QTs wher you've been tagged and view, like, comment as appropriate. IMHO people will appreciate that more, than a reply to a comment made on one of your posts. --- I can only ever speak for me, but that would be quite fine with me.

Yeah, it takes time. I visited a forest after a fire, just black charred wood. When I came back later, there were pine trees. But they were only knee high. It was so funny to see a forest of knee-high pine trees. I felt like I was a giant towering over the forest. It was amazing to see tho.

Glad you like it. Oh, and guess what? I accidentally clicked "mark all read" so I inadvertently followed your advice. Can an action be a freudian slip? I feel guilty tho but I'll just have to start over just like you said. Sighs.

...OK, it seems the hoard of completely unknown words you throw at us is inexhaustible! I liked VERY much number 4. Me and my resident vampire woman take walks in exactly such a place (Especially summer afternoons/evenings)

I do agree on the politeness, though some of the comments are more like likes, so I mean just like the comment and not reply myself. Otherwise I do pretty much what you do.

I can see why the AI chose this for solastalgia. Uranium mining from 1944-1986 caused large problems for the Navajo nation that are still issues effecting their health and land to this day

  • @CaylaCatz ·

It is recent. I think because it's only been recently that people have gotten worried about the climate. I could be wrong but I think that's why the word picked up traction.

  • @DavidP ·

Can't say much about the word, and haven't read all the comments, but maybe some just attracted to the images without worrying too much about the word itself

  • @panos ·

Well, it's the mountain over our home. Used to be greener, but there was a great fire almost ten years ago and nature still hasn't replenished itself....

  • @CaylaCatz ·

that could be. ... looks at the images ... I hope not, lol. They are rather bleak. Except for the last one. That's nice. Feels like here.
