The photgraphs were indeed that, as any person of today could understand looking at those photos (but NOT people THEN!! It is important to remember that. It's not that they were more gullible than us. Photography was something very new and their brains were not wired to distinnguish true from false in a photo. Before you deny this, I will tell one simple example: Remember how REAL special effects in movies, video games looked to us 20 years before and how obviously fake and artificial they look today - 20 years after even MORE real-er and real-er special effects. As for the fairiesand the girls. The photos were indeed fake, as I said, BUT, did the girls really lied about meeting fairies?...🙂

Thank you very much! There is a recurrent theme in Fantasy fiction that has Fairies appearing to people taking shapes matching that of their viewers, clothed according to the fashions of the era they appear in. I used that, here. (Also, google the title - there is some truth to this image 😉)

Oh yes, I remember it (although I didn't know the date). In the end, it was a photographic trick with cutouts, I think.
