Inspired by the full lyrics of "Read 'Em & Weep" by Barry Mannilow (1983). Like many stars of the early 80's through the early '90's, Mannilow tapped a song written by Jim Steinman to take him to a new level of genius. During this time frame, Bonnie Tyler, Air Supply, Mannilow, Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion and others found a way to touch a part of their soul that seemingly had never been touched, teaming with Steinman, who would also produce the recordings often using his hand-chosen musicians for support! https://youtu.be/aUtDL_mIA4c?si=NlP12VRyPeMHO9kx

Cool pics. Lovely song. Barry Manilow was one of my favorite singers. He has an incredible voice. I hadn't heard of Jim Steinman but looking him up, I found he wrote a number of my favorite songs by a very diverse group of people. Meatloaf's I'd do anything for love, Two out of 3 ain't bad, Tyler's Total Eclipse of the heart, and others. Really great songwriter. I think I found a new hero.

Gorgeous set. And who can forget his collaboration with Meat Loaf and the Bat out of Hell album. Still love to listen to that every now and then.
