QT: Performing My spin: a retro late 50s vibe inspired by singers such as Joni Mitchell who performed in this way before becoming signed recording artists. 4 models, in my preference order 1-GPT1.5 2-Grok 3-SD4.5 4-NB https://budgetpixel.com/p/16660

I like going to blues bars. For me, TC is a bit uneven. On her albums usually there are only a couple I like with one of them being a hit. But the songs I liked, I loved. Some singers are like that for me. Others like Stevie Nicks, I like most of an album. Just depends. Just when I think of college cafe busking, I think of TC. I like the 60s/70s vibe in your images tho. I guess that look is back with the boho chic so probably there is someone write now strumming a guitar in a cafe looking a lot like them... but they are probably using their phone to film their sets for YT or Tiktok, lol.

Wish we'd had blues bars, more than just the one I used to go to back in the 90s. Chicago would be heaven for me --- That was how I felt about TC. Though never really loved any --- SN more my taste, though her solo albums are more 'good, but not special' for me. Or maybe just the best of her with FM just sets the bar for me --- I am not out and about to pick up the boho vibes. Mine here was late 60s. Maybe she is a version of Michelle Phillips, though don't think she played an instrument. --- YT/TikTok 🤣

That's too bad you don't have many blues bars. Probably you have another type of music that is more predominant there. I should listen to the radio again. I used to a lot and it was how I discovered new music before. I guess people use Spotify to do that now. Problem with radio these days is it feels like there is lots more commercials than what I remember. So for me they interrupt the flow of the music. Same reason I tend to not listen to YT these days like I used to.

Thanks. Many discovered in that way or at least developed in that way. I do love that sort of musician and performer. I did listen to the TC album when it came out though never became a favourite. I meant the whole album. She is poetic, fabulous player (perhaps under-rated) and has a magnificent voice.

That's very cool. When I think of playing in college coffee houses, I think of Tracy Chapman. That's how she got discovered. I loved her song Fast Car. Do you mean the song, or the whole album Blue? I've always felt her writing is very poetic.
