Embroidered illustration of a small rodent with iridescent fur and accompanying text about Nacreous Antechinus.
This textile embroidery features a cute mouse-like marsupial with pearly, iridescent fur and a friendly pose. The design highlights the name Nacreous Antechinus and a brief educational description, using warm browns, black outlines, and pearlescent accents for visual interest. A striking blend of educational content and decorative stitching suitable for wildlife-themed art.

AI hallucination: I was practicing vocabulary words so asked the AI to include the definitions in the image without me typing out the definition. Well... Nacreous was good Antechinus was good ..... but there is no such animal as a Nacreous Antechinus inown for its iridescent fur except maybe in a parallel world

I was in a 3-word challenge that you had to start with N A E in that order. I asked copilot for unusual words starting with N and A; and art words starting with E. For E, I chose embroidery. N, I chose "nacreous" partly because I think it'll be useful in prompts. and A I chose "antechinus" because it was a noun. That was on NC. Then over on BP, I brought them over to see which models would give me definitions with those words. Some models only gave the image; a couple only the words and image; and a few words and definitions with a few mispelled words and a very few with totally accurately spelled words and no hallucinations. This one gave me back an hallucinated definition on one generation but was accurate on another.

I just like to find out what it can do. There are layers to it. But it makes factual mistakes so it's worrisome how business are beginning to rely on it. People are used to double-checking people but we also need to get into the habit of double checking AI facts. It doesn't matter for a hobby, of course, but I seriously don't like when I call customer support, they try to push me off to an AI and not a person. If I am calling for assistance, then I am not knowledgeable enough to judge if an AI is accurate or making something up.

Oh, don't let me get started with AI-"Assistance" on various companies... but for me, the most surprising (and frightening) fact, is how some people are seriously taking into account AI-algorithms "answers" as valid advice on HUMAN matters, e.g should I break up with my girlfriend, do you beilieve I should not trust my friends anymore.. and so on.. HEY!!! What's wrong you with you people?!!! Only people (that you know)can even begin to answer questions like that!!

Or you should learn to trust your own feelings. You can even do tarot readings. I think it's great if it helps you bring your feelings or thoughts to the service but not if you're asking it to tell you what to think or do. It's a little sad how badly some people want someone/something to follow

CaylaCatz

Antechinus does look like a mouse but its nose is much pointier. Pointier than this image too actually. They used to be called marsupial mice.

I think sometimes you are the AI model's worst nightmare, dear Cayla!!😄

panos

OK! (What's with Australian fauna and its marsupium fixation?)

panos

Don't get angry but.... it looks like a mouse... 🙂

panos

Yes, always looking for someone/something that "knows better"
