Romantic couple kissing on a stone terrace at sunset

See the previous two posts for context. I really wanted an illustration of the poem, not an illustrated image of the words of the poem. The intent was to firstly test if GAI would understand Latin and then how it might understand the poem to create an image based on it. SD-4.5 in NC did a good job. 4 models in BP all included words as the main subject. That not being what I wanted, I added this as the start of the prompt "Create a painting to Illustrate the following poem, not quoting the text:" and then included the Latin text. With more specific direction, GPT understood what I wanted, understood the poem, and I like the painted illustration

About this image

A classical-inspired romance painting showing a couple embracing and kissing on a twilight terrace. The scene features warm sunset hues, flowing white and red garments, lush roses, candlelight, and a distant seaside view, creating an intimate, dreamy mood perfect for art and romance keywords.

I wouldn't say a 'bust'. I think the GPT version was excellent - the poem looked accurately reproduced (even in Latin) and the illustration was perfect. It was just not what I wanted. So the lesson (learned over and over) is to be specific and explicit about details, otherwise AI makes up its own mind, which may or may not work for you.

Thanks. I liked the attire and it was romantic as you say. SHowed it got the sense of the poem well. Just needed the upfront leader to prevent throwing in all the Latin which I didn't want

Yeah, the latin words were a bust. I might use the "no text" thing for when I do song lyrics and I have that problem. Which does happen quite a bit.

As I said somewhere else, can't recall to whom, I didn't check word-for-word, but looked good based on a quick scan.

That's awesome! It even made romantic Roman-ish clothes. The whole image is lovely and romantic

Lovely work and image to match 🤍, but that NC one is incredible 💓

  • @DavidP ·

You could 🤣 But Latin was fun, and a poem I remember from high school

  • @faerierealm ·

Or... you could just write the prompt in English. 😉

wow! I am impressed that it did reproduce the latin accurately. That's a lot of words. I've noticed the more words, the more likely towards the end word spelling starts to fall apart or words get dropped
