Most people think just the big eyes with anime. I probably should have said manga which is hte graphic novel version of anime. The covers of manga often have a female with windblown curly Art Nouveau-ish type hair. When I was a kid and my dad was stationed in Japan, I used to see manga covers a lot. Then in college, I was introduced to Art Nouveau and loved the hair there too. The face is definitely not anime style. It's more graphic novel in hard cover.

thank you! i took an unsual build a prompt thing I did for a challenge and added the woman and watercolor, and alcohol inks. And took some stuff out. I like it much better than I expected. BPs DC is getting me to do people more than I usually do. It's good to learn new things tho

Agree on the eyes, plus a certain stylised look for the figures-clothes, hair, body shape- and the illustration artistic style. But as I said, I have a sense developed largely from anime I have seen on BP and NC.

To me it's more like graphic novel because graphic novel artists range a lot in style. She wouldn't be on a cover of a graphic novel hardcover but might be on the extras inside page.

Can't say I though Anime when I saw this. Though I am not deeply into anime, so perhaps have a limited perspective. Probably also why it appeals to me more thana typical anime

I hadn't thought of Medusa but now that you said it, I can see it. I just tend to like the windblown anime hair look

I liked the almost Medusa like elements in her hair and the experssion
