An assassin sings his sorrow

Lyrics: An assassin sings his sorrow

I did every deed you asked, believing your love was true, You used me, cast me aside, and left my heart in two. I walked the path you showed me, never questioning your way, Now you spread your false accusations, turning night into day. You claim my money, claim my land, and try to steal my name, But I won't let your lies and greed set my whole world aflame. My heart is full of wounds, but my spirit still stands tall, I'll rise above your cruelest words, though you may want my fall. Let the parai thunder loud, let the tappu shake the ground, An assassin sings his sorrow, but his truth will still resound.

About this song

This emotional narrative track follows a betrayed assassin processing grief after being used, discarded, and slandered by the person he once loyally served. It pairs raw lyrics about resilience against lies and greed with thunderous traditional percussion to build a mood of gritty, somber resolve.
