πŸŽ‰πŸ’™πŸŒŠ Congratulations, Progressives! πŸŒŠπŸ’™πŸŽ‰ Republican Fascists were absolutely and justifiably TROUNCED in yesterday's elections, so please do take a moment to celebrate and feel good about that. But then buckle up for the real work ahead: Demanding guaranteed healthcare for all, affordable education, and fair wages! Don't let the Corporate Democrats go back to business as usual. Hold their feet to the fire and demand real change for the working people of America! It's great that the US has stopped its slide into Far Right Fascism, but now the country must reverse course and embrace Progressive Ideals if life is ever going to improve for the majority of hard-working Americans. Enjoy the win, but keep up the fight! πŸ’ͺ Same prompt, three different models: GPT 2 Medium, GPT 2.5 Sunburst, Muse

I'm really happy that some of the districts they gerrymandered to ensure a Republican win had a Democrat win instead. Some tho of those gerrymandered districts don't kick in until next election tho. Interestingly in trying to dilute Democratic areas, they ended up diluting Republican strongholds enough to lose. Serves Republicans right for trying to cheat and rig elections to have their tactics backfire.

Texas going completely blue (senator, governor and both houses of the state legislature) is such a profound relief. I was feeling rather melancholy after coming back from San Antonio and seeing so many wonderful, kind, friendly Hispanic people and thinking about how unjust, vile and disgusting the way they are being treated is. It is so gratifying to know that such behavior has been directly repudiated by the voters. This is only a beginning however. Much work needs to be done, and it to be hoped that the promise of these results will be fulfilled by the people elected. But yes, thank goodness the rush towards American Fascism has received a severe check this week.

now we have to deliver. There are lots of cultural things we want to accomplish, but first, i think we have to deliver on some things. Figure out how to lower prices, put money in peoples pockets. How to fund healthcare. How to end the war in iran. We cant go back to business as usual. That vote was more a repudiation of trump then a signal of a shift to the left. unfortunately.

Yeah, at some point they quit trying to win voters over with good or helpful policies and decided to just start stealing shit. I guess that's what happens when your party is led by an Orange Criminal!

    GREAT!!!! Yeeesss! Congratulation USA!!! πŸ‘

Yeah, Trump has said he'll veto anything that arrives at his desk (even if it's good for the American people), but Dems have to create bills that help peopleβ€”even if Trump vetoes themβ€”to make it clear that a Dem president would actually sign them. That's the only hope IMO: Americans have to understand that Republicans hate workers and ordinary people and only serve the ultra-rich.

  • @faerierealm Β·

Yeah the Orange Despot lost the Hispanic vote when he let Chief Nazi Stephen Miller off his leash and let him inflict supreme misery on everyone with brown skin (even the ones with US passports). So it's good to see the rotten fruits of Miller's actions come back to spoil Republicans' mid-term prospects. It could be a generation before Hispanics side with Republicans again...
