This is a set of a pilot comic to gauge interest in this story. If it's popular I'll refine the story to reveal the whole. Many detailed snippets are removed from here because it'll take way too many panels if not. Hope you enjoy this rather melancholic piece that's not common in dragon-tropes. A village burning below. Flames crawl methodically, controlled. It pools. A “hero” practicing a speech in the mirror of his shield. With speeches. Bards already singing of a battle not yet fought. With endings decided in advance. The dragon turns away, unimpressed. Even death has become procedural. The dragon unleashes fire—clean, precise, devastating. A village is erased in a controlled inferno. The dragon alone in darkness. But because destruction is the last thing that reminds me— —that I still exist. Blood drips. The dragon doesn’t react. The spear is removed. The wound already closing. It does its job. The knight reacts in disbelief, terror and hopelessness. The dragon watches the knight flee. Then it leaves. The villagers don’t understand the words—but feel the weight of them. No one had ever spoken to them like this. THE DRAGON WHO BURNED TO FEEL Story conjured by a random bout of nonsensical bantering with chatGPT. This is the bit that started it all: Existential dragon nonsense: The dragon burned villages not out of malice, but to feel something . Character development with GPT Images 1.5 Story paneling with SeeDream 4.5 Image to Image mode. Want to see the full pilot properly made into a complete pilot comic? (the areas in text so far without images) Leave a comment I'll see if I'll start this as a series... Genre: Slice of Life of a Bored Dragon
