It connects with ongoing stories of mine, such as 'Somewhere Far, Far Away," and 'Syberia: The World After" It is what in comic book parlance is called an Overarcing Crossover Event. At 18 comic pages, it is actually a comic-book-length story, the length and page-count of an issue you would buy in a newsstand (or your favorite comics-store). The central connecting character is a certain Very Clever, Very Wise, Very, VERY Handsome Wizard. Oh, Thank god, somebody has has played the games read it! That's my main dream! I have gotten as far as Dreamfall , still haven't played the final 2 'chapters'' I played the first one when it was released, all these long years ago and it remains unsurpassable! I am very glasd you liked this story. (Hint: If you see Archangel Tare presentation in her Mirror, you'll see OTHER games that follow in this story, as well! You recognize them? 😉)

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and i'm very glad that you both like it. I have to admit here, that in April & Crow I have two already existant characters - they are in the "Longest Journey' games - yes, i know, again with the games, I am obseessed, i freely admit it. Gael's words about story archetypes are expressed also in Joseph Campbell's famous treatises such as "Hero with A Thousand Faces' & "The Hero's Journey" Since yesterdy I have been trying things on chatgpt (suggested to me by suga2309). They give 5-6 free gpt images per day. Thing is it turns my 3:2 2k medium, comic pages in 1536 × 1024(which is not very good for my usually 12-panel text-dense pages, while somehow, BP has configured them to turn at at double 3072 × 2048 size, which is excellent. I upscaled them elsewhere - though there is not much free stuff online. Anyway, thing is that the stories will continue, even if very slowly. I don't know about posting them ,though...

Okay, finally set aside time on a lazy Saturday morning to read this and... it's really good! I even showed it to Gael (which I won't do if it's not good), and she agreed. She said your characters are distinct and their personalities engaging, which is the most important thing in storytelling. (In the past, she's often told me how there are really only a few main story archetypes and that what makes stories different and interesting are the characters. In other words, characterization is just as important as plot.) Now we just have to figure out how to get you access to GPT-2 again, since that's the only AI model currently capable of creating comic book pages. King is supposedly working on that right now, so hang in there for a bit and don't lose hope just yet...

I played it when it came out, back in 2006, and it was great with those dreamlike machines that connected to your brain. Then, when the later chapters came out, I played the whole collection, but to be honest, I don't remember anything anymore. Of the games you mentioned in the mirrors, I realized Myst was one, but I didn't play it; it seemed to consist mostly of admiring the scenery with very little action. And then I think there's another one called Zork that I don't know. Are there any others?

for me the first, Longest Journey was the best of the two i played, very long gameplay, many puzzles. Dreamfall was too short & with few puzzles compared to that, (imo, of course) The Myst seies is excellent, with great stories and puzzles, but in another style, not cinematic progression of the story as in TLJ. And Zork iis the final, that is all (along with Syberia, of course 🙂)

Well the characters are all new to us since neither of us are really gamers haha. But that doesn't change the fact that you still have to give them situations where their personalities can shine. As for the slower pace and lower resolution of non-BP gens, that's unfortunate, but at least you can still make some progress...

I did make to the end - scrolling to enjoy the images - will have to come back and read another time, now it is walking time. Images are fabulous and you are almost at 500, which you will surley reach soon as I see you have made it onto the trending list.

Panos I have an idea you could get with The Bard give him your prompts and ask him to make the comic characters for you. Then copy, save and paste into your story possibly as long as you get his permission of course.
