Entry in the Legendary Creature challenge.

About this image

These ethereal divine fantasy beasts feature gnarled antlers strung with dangling gem charms, iridescent feathered fur, and translucent crystalline wing fragments. Warm sunset light gilds their forms, set against a soft bokeh background of a glowing spired magical city under a dusky sky with a crescent moon. The mood is serene and otherworldly, rendered in rich sparkling gold, sapphire, and amethyst jewel tones.

Very good Chris. Imo - considering your question - while depicting the same (or similar) creature, the second place image had a more clear cut virew, in full daylight, making every detail clear. Yours has a dreamy, evening-light visual, making some details hazt. That is my impression anyway. I'm trying to say, the other one was more voters-friendly. But you never know how these things go. I saw many phoenix-lie creature like mine (an easy choice i guess) but none is in top 20, so i don't know how they fared in comparison to mine.

You're wellcome! Well, as I say, you NEVER know with those things. I only know that each time. I love the images i enter in the DC, as I am sure you do also,

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback; I largely agree with the points you’ve raised. Perhaps next time I’ll try going for something a bit more "mainstream" again! 😉

Thank you! 😊 Perhaps you could explain to me what the second-place image did better—or differently—compared to mine? 🤔
