I guess what doesn't come across well enough, even with my description is that this represents two possible endings, based on what he said in the earlier and how she responds - either wrm and into the kiss, or angry and into the slap.

Well the idea was depending on what he said, it's a kiss or a slap. Let me update the description to try and make it more clear
If she slaps him after they kissed, that can't be leading to a good ending 😅
