How Do We Become Strangers
How Do We Become Strangers is a raw, tender country ballad exploring the disorienting grief of a sudden relationship end, grappling with the painful, lingering question of how a once deeply intimate partner can become a stranger after building a shared life together.

Entry in the Prompt to Playlist theme on BudgetPixel.

Tried out making a song on the new Suno V6. The lyrics need major rework, but overall it gave me the mood of the song that I was looking for, far better than the other models.

Lyrics — “How Do We Become Strangers” by @beastxyz

VERSE 1 Your side of the bed is cold tonight But I still reach for you My jacket's hanging by the door And somehow it still smells like you Our picture is still on the wall Dinner plates we never cleared Funny how a life can disappear But leave its echoes everywhere PRE-CHORUS You taught me how to open up You taught me not to hide You made me feel like I could shine Then you left me without the light CHORUS How do we become strangers again? How do I look at you like I don't know your name? How do we go from everything To two faces that mean nothing? You had my heart, you held it close You said you'd never let it break So how did you walk away so fast While I'm still here, wide awake? How do we become strangers again? When you still feel like my guardian angel VERSE 2 You knew the words I never said The fears I tried to hide You saw the girl beneath it all And pulled the real me into the light You taught me how to love like crazy On a tightrope, no safety net Then you didn't catch me when I fell Now I'm the one who can't forget PRE-CHORUS 2 Maybe you've already moved on Maybe you've made your peace But I'm still caught inside the moment When you stopped choosing me CHORUS How do we become strangers again? How do I look at you and feel no pain? How do we go from everything To two names that mean nothing? You had my heart, you held it close You said you'd never let it break Now you're free to call it quits While I'm still drowning in what you left How do we become strangers again? When you still feel like home to me BRIDGE Do I have to lose it all Before we finally call it even? Do I have to break this heart Just to prove that I'm still bleeding? I don't need you to come back I know I can't make you stay I just wish that when you see my tears They still mattered anyway FINAL CHORUS How do we become strangers again? After being everything to each other? How do I turn the deepest part of my heart Into a story about somebody I once loved? You had my heart, you held it close And I don't know where to put it now Maybe someday I'll let you go But I'm not ready, not right now How do we become strangers again? How do two hearts disappear? You can walk away and call it over But part of me is still right here OUTRO Maybe one day I'll pass you by And your face won't hurt like this But tonight I'm still the girl you left Still learning how to live with it.

Beautiful song! Suno does a great job in most songs I've tried. I have another I'll post after the next challenge ends but I'm torn between suno and mureka (both are good).

Yes the sad vibe is exacty what I was going for.

dezie

Great song, but sad.

Really? the new Suno model is better than the older Suno models? I had some concerns because they threw away the older Suno models to build a model on Warner music in exchange for removing the lawsuit. I hadn't tried the new model yet. Did you use Suno 5 and Suno 4.5? Or do you mean it's better thant the other BP audio models? i've always felt Suno was better than any of the other models out there as it listens pretty well. I didn't realiz ethey brought it to BP -- Lovely sound, I like the way although it has a country voice, it's got a pop sound.

This is the Suno V6 from BP. I have heard of Suno before but never really got motivated enough to try it. Since the BP team brought it onto the platform, I thought of just giving it a try, and was pretty impressed on the first try. I didn't know about their lawsuit with Warner Music - thanks for sharing that, I will read up more about that.
