Entry in the Musical Memories & Guess the Song theme on BudgetPixel.
When I was in college, my TV News class put together a segment for a local news station called the 'The State of Marriage' that included interviews with various couples. My partner and I interviewed my grandparents as a couple who had been married more than 50 years. I learned so many interesting and wonderful things about my grandparents that day. One thing my grandmother talked about was how they would go to the school gym and dance during lunch. Together they loved music and dancing. As soon as they graduated, they got married before my grandfather went off to war. This was one of their favorite songs, and we used it in the segment. I still have the VHS tape though last time I watched it, it was in bad shape, and I no longer even have a VHS player to try again. I bought one to transfer to DVD but format only seemed to work on that DVD player and then those went obsolete too... I think there are placed you can send to make digital but I've been lazy. Also have different tapes from my camcorder when the kids were little.

Then you'll love the next part of the story. When he came home from war, my grandmother asked him what he wanted and he said he wanted them to have a baby. Nine months later my mother was born.
