Masked couple dance at a lavish gothic masquerade ball surrounded by anthropomorphic rat party guests under a full moon
This surreal dark fantasy artwork depicts a decadent opulent masquerade ball set inside a gilded gothic palace overlooking a moonlit spired castle. The central dancing pair features a ragged masked man and a cat-masked woman wearing a gown constructed entirely from stacked US dollar bills, surrounded by formally dressed humanoid rat guests. Rich gold, deep crimson, and jewel-toned details fill the scene, with a glossy reflective black floor showing warped reflections of the party and scattered discarded valuables.

At the heart of a lavish masquerade, luxury dances beside poverty. A homeless man waltzes with a ruthless moneylender dressed in money, while rat-headed elites celebrate around them without concern. In the black marble reflections, their greed appears even more monstrous. A dark satire about power, exploitation, and those who keep dancing above the suffering of others.
