While I am usually up to try something and have not read a classic like Stoker's Dracula, my reading list at the moment is overloaded. My main recreational reading is fantasy and I am alternating books from two long series Malazan Book of the Fallen and Wheel of Time. I read briefly every night before bed, so I reckon it will take me a good few years to complete both. To avoid getting stale I also dip into other books periodically. Next of those will either be the final book in William Gibson's Sprawl Trilogy or Phillip K Dick's Do Android's Dream of Electric Sheep which was the inspiration for Blade Runner, which in turn with Gibson's Neuromancer led to The Matrix. As for dramatisations, I think it is rare for TV or film to live up to the books. Jackson's Lord of the Rings being an exception and the latest Dune films. I think early seasons of Game of Thrones was pretty good - until they got ahead of the books and it all got progressively worse. Sorry, I've babbled on way too much

Enola Holmes is based on a series of young adult books about Sherlock Holmes' baby sister. There are now 3 movies in the series on Netflix starring Millie Bobbie Brown, Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter. Gabrielle de Lioncourt is the mother of the Vampire Lestat. As far as I'm aware she is not in any of the movies. Although apparently she is in the new AMC series based on the Vampire Chronicles written by Anne Rice.

Yep, not by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but another writer who created the works after Doyle's work became public domain.

Lovely set. Enjoyed Enola on the big TV screen. Don't know the other. Then I don't do much historical fiction.

They look awesome. I like image 2 the most 😁 Although I have to admit that neither of them rings a bell 🤣
