Surreal fantasy comic page of supernatural characters sharing a sarcastic tea party in a yokai-themed tearoom
This dark fantasy steampunk comic depicts a cozy tea party between a Victorian steampunk woman, top-hatted Cheshire Cat, skeletal Gashadokuro yokai, and eye-covered Mokumokuren sliding door. Warm sepia and jewel tones create a playful, dryly sarcastic mood that blends Alice in Wonderland themes and Japanese folklore. Detailed character lore captions and conversational speech bubbles add depth to the whimsical surreal scene.

Entry in the Something Fun (and / or random) #02 theme on BudgetPixel.

Tea with Alice and the Cheshire Cat Special Guests: Gashadokuro and Mokumokuren 目目連 Most yokai I can get to show correctly just by inputting the name but the Mokumokuren 目目連 failed with that method. I had to describe it (that's the screen with all the eyes. If you don't take care of your shoji door, it comes alive and watches youL).

Yeah, you're thinking of his great great uncle (there's a reason he's called the Great Great uncle) who died amidst a great famiine so there was many bones to collect of others who passed of starvation. Unfortunately for his nephew, he passed away during a prosperous era so he had to work hard to collect bones to get to the size he is. He started out a lot shorter.

Yay! She's still working on the gadget. It's great at holding cups still but if you want to take a sip while your hands are busy (while driving for example), things get a bit messy. It has a bad habit of bumping the chin instead of smoothly tipping the cup into the mouth

haha this one is one of my all time fave tea parties to-date! The quips are great and the inspector gadget cup-holder Alice has is an inventive touch😁👌Nice one CC~

Very nice 😊👍 The screen with the eyes looks great 👍 Gashadokuro should be much bigger. 😁

Thank you! I'm glad you like Gashadokuro and Mokumokuren. I only learned about Mokumokuren a couple of weeks ago and had the hardest time getting the ai to make it. The AI kept giving me Cousin It with eyes in the hair which is cool but not this one... hmmm, I wonder if there's a yokai with many eyes in the hair, lol.
