About this image

This dramatic high-energy digital artwork features a powerful muscular female heavy metal drummer performing on a rain-soaked city rooftop during an intense thunderstorm, with bright jagged lightning illuminating the dark stormy sky behind her. Water splashes off the cymbals of her sleek black "Stormfront" drum kit as she plays, with blurred glowing city skyline lights creating a moody atmospheric backdrop. Deep cool shadowed tones and dynamic action framing emphasize the raw, intense energy of a hard rock metal performance paired with dramatic storm visuals.

Don't stress, your submissions are always cool. Just don't invest too much time, credits and emotion in the challenge - at least that's my theory. Thogh if I recall correctly you were quite high up on the challenge leaderboard?

  • @beastxyz ·

Don't get discouraged! You got top 10 the last challenge!I had lousy rankings from time to time too. As long as you enjoy creating for the challenge, then you should continue. Or sit out when there is really inspiring that comes to mind. This likely wasn't one of your inspired works.

  • @DavidP ·

Oh no, I have the same feelings. I know the images in the top 10 are generally all decent - just the fact that so many are simply taking the description as-is as the subject. Sometimes I wish there was no descriptions, just maybe slightly longer theme titles to encourage more subject imagination.

Thank you! I didn't want it to be a clone of the reference image, but I've learned that straying too far away from it can be bad too. Kind of a lose-lose situation.

It's so random. I really think that 10-50 are so closely intertwined, and the ranking system...frankly...sucks. You know I would have voted for this one as many times as it showed up!!

  • @Unleashed ·

Actually I was pretty happy with her. I'm trying not to follow the description to the letter, and thought this was just different enough while being on theme.

I bounce around it, but I've learned that humor fails 100% of the time...for me. I don't think people get me sometimes. Most of the time.

  • @legion ·

The same thing happens to me, but I keep doing it; sometimes it works out well because it sets you apart.

  • @legion ·

    I don't think it's bad; I like it.

If you mean the blog by @vrieming , most of the ones I did well in were months ago, and I think I got spoiled. Recently, with just a couple of exceptions, I'm bottom fifty percent. I'm not stressed, exactly. Just a little frustrated. I often see things in the top ten and think, "How did I lose to THAT!?" But that might be a bias blinding on my part.
