About this image

This playful, humorous candid shot captures a shocked young woman mid-curling delivery on an indoor ice rink during a scheduled curling practice session. The scene features regulation granite curling stones, red and blue house target markings on the ice, a "Practice Session" scoreboard, and a second teammate sweeping ice in the soft blurred background. The lighthearted comedic mood highlights the unexpected, relatable awkwardness of recreational winter sport participation.

This high-energy action shot captures the South Korean women's curling team mid-play during a match against Switzerland at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The delivering athlete leans low over the ice, reaching toward a red-handled curling stone as her teammates stand ready with brooms to adjust the stone's path, with a background scoreboard showing Korea leading 1-0 in the 4th end. The cool blue and white ice rink palette, intense focused expression of the lead athlete, and Olympic rings backdrop convey the tense, competitive atmosphere of elite international winter sports.

This dynamic action sports photo captures a Taiwanese Team TPE hurdler tripping mid-race on a wet red running track at the Taipei 2025 athletics tournament. Glistening with rain, the athlete wears an official race bib and sprint spikes as she reaches out to steady herself, with blurred competing runners and event hurdles visible in the stadium background. The tense, high-stakes mood of competitive track and field in inclement weather is emphasized by flying water droplets and the athlete's urgent, surprised expression.
