Massive gilded tentacled cosmic monster looms

About this image

This epic grimdark fantasy concept art shows a towering, gilded armored octopus-dragon elder god creature looming over a besieged medieval stone castle, as armored knights in crimson cloaks lead a human army into apocalyptic battle. The scene has a tense, foreboding mood, with stormy overcast skies, glowing ethereal blue light emanating from the monster's face, tattered red battle flags, and flying winged creatures swirling high above the massive beast. The gritty, painterly aesthetic leans into classic high fantasy and cosmic horror themes of wartime confrontation between mortal armies and unknowable godlike entities.
