Somewhere between “ancient discovery” and “we should probably leave.”

Entry in the Fossil Hunter challenge.

About this image

This cinematic fantasy concept art follows a crew of rugged desert explorers encountering a colossal ancient dinosaur skull embedded in towering red sandstone canyon walls. Warm earthy sandy and terracotta tones pair with a bright cloudy blue sky to build a dramatic adventurous mood, with pterosaurs circling high above as the expedition team investigates the massive prehistoric remains. The hyper-realistic rendering emphasizes the staggering scale of the fossil against the human explorers.
