This distressed retro pulp art poster promotes a deep dive feature titled "Why Imara Was Banned From Television", depicting midcentury TV network executives reviewing footage of a powerful Black fantasy heroine on a studio monitor, surrounded by rejected programming paperwork, vintage film reels, and branded Imara merchandise. Rendered in warm sepia, dark charcoal, and golden amber tones, the artwork explores themes of media censorship, underrepresented representation, and lost classic animation, noting the full feature is available in the blog section with accompanying audio. The poster highlights that the fictional animated series was rejected by networks for centering a strong, independent female lead that violated outdated midcentury broadcast standards.
