Tea with Alice and the Cheshire Cat in Slumberland Special Guest Stars: Winsor McCay and King Morpheus Winsor McCay was one of the early giants of comic art and animation, famous for his dreamlike imagination. His comicstrip, Little Nemo, follows a young boy who drifts each night into the kingdom of Slumberland. The strip is known for its surreal landscapes, architectural marvels, and fluid transformations—each dream episode bends reality. Little Nemo was a landmark in early visual storytelling. Little Nemo's comic strip October 15, 1905 – July 23, 1911 in the New York Herald September 3, 1911 – July 26, 1914 under the retitled In the Land of Wonderful Dreams in the New York American August 3, 1924 – January 9, 1927 when McCay briefly revived the strip back at the Herald Most recently publisher Taschen in 2021 published Little Nemo 1905-1909, collecting the earliest years of the comic strip.
