Tea with Alice and Cheshire CAt Special guest stars : Emperor Akbar and his sadvisor, Birbal in the Mughal Empire (1556-1605) While they are true historical figures, their folkloric fictional classic tales have been passed down for centuries as moral stories teaching wit, honesty, and wisdom. Birbal is a master in lateral thinking when the Emperor Akbar lobs riddles at him. Google gave an example of one of their stories: "Counting the Crows: Akbar once asked Birbal to count the number of crows in his kingdom. Birbal replied that there were 84,623 crows. When the emperor asked what would happen if there were more or fewer, Birbal cleverly stated that if there were more, it meant visitors from other kingdoms were visiting, and if there were fewer, it meant the crows had gone to visit neighboring kingdoms."
