Two women in sundresses embrace

Two girls stand arm in arm at the ocean’s edge, salt on their skin, wind learning their names. The sun lowers itself gently for them, pouring gold across the water like a promise kept. They don’t need to speak— the tide already knows what they are to each other. In the quiet between waves, the future opens wide, bright as the horizon, certain as the way their shoulders fit, as if the world has always been making room for this exact moment, and for them.

Beautiful, poem and illustration - loved all the natural figurative language (wind, sun, tides)
