I just want to do my laundry.... 40/74

Entry in the Unexpected Portal challenge.

About this image

This surreal magical realism artwork depicts a quiet evening laundromat where a glowing, iridescent dimensional portal has opened in the wall, framed by exposed plumbing and trailing glowing green vines. A woman in a soft pale house robe holding a laundry basket stands transfixed, looking into the portal that reveals a dreamy cloud-filled library with floating open books and a plush purple armchair. The mundane, worn laundromat setting of out-of-order green washers, scattered loose paper, and wall payphone contrasts sharply with the whimsical purple-hued otherworldly space, creating a quiet, magical dreamlike mood.
