Four contrasting characters, a mage, scholar, and armed survivalists

About this image

This atmospheric dark fantasy digital illustration depicts a ragtag quartet of genre-blending characters standing in a barren rocky desert under a dramatic glowing total solar eclipse. The central robed fantasy mage holding a twisted wooden staff is flanked left by a scholar holding a book marked "MYST", and right by two post-apocalyptic survivalists in fur-lined jackets holding assault rifles. Moody warm sepia tones, foreboding storm clouds, and a tense apocalyptic mood create a unique, gritty crossover artwork.

This atmospheric, painterly fan art poster for the iconic MYST puzzle adventure game features two central characters posed inside a rich dark wood paneled circular library study. The older, bespectacled character holds a leather bound MYST book, while his robed companion grips a twisted wooden staff crackling with bright blue magical lightning. Warm deep brown and sepia tones set a mysterious immersive mood, paired with golden header text reading "MYST: The Ending Has Not Yet Been Written".

This atmospheric fan artwork for the classic puzzle adventure game MYST depicts a falling man reaching for a floating leather Myst linking book adrift in a glowing, nebulous starry outer space backdrop. The design features official MYST lore text about the book's unwritten ending, rendered in elegant warm gold serif typography against a moody dark deep blue cosmic background, leaning into the franchise's signature surreal, mysterious fantasy tone.

Very cool! I played that game long ago but I don't think I finished it... Maybe I did but I don't remember the ending, just the beginning and having the story unfold in found fragments

Thank you Cayla! Researching for my story I hunted down videos of cutscenes in youtube from the various games and I had flashback from ack when we played them. Great moments!

Thank you. The Eclipse did not get across in the Zork Prologue in the blog, just a mention of it. so I decided to show it in the header/
