Grumpy messy black cat holding a giant coffee mug

About this image

This whimsical watercolor illustration features a bedhead, irritable black cat clutching a giant steaming coffee mug, perfectly capturing the relatable groggy pre-coffee morning mood beloved by coffee and cat fans. Set in a soft pastel cottagecore kitchen, a cheerful tiny mouse chef in a pink toque works at the counter, contrasting the cat’s grumpy energy with playful, cozy whimsy. The muted mint, pink, and lavender vintage kitchen backdrop makes this piece ideal for humorous home or office wall art.

I identify with this cat most mornings. Great work and great details! I love 'the finger' in the coffee steam!
