Distorted cursed deepfake of The Little Mermaid's Prince Eric

About this image

This viral uncanny valley deepfake meme features a distorted, cursed version of Prince Eric from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, a wildly popular Disney character repurposed for internet humor. The unsettling edit warps the character’s face to have stretched, twisted features, wide shocked eyes, a dripping black makeup tear, and an open horrified expression, set against the original animated film’s light blue cloudy sky and dark blue ocean backdrop, with Eric’s signature red shirt peeking into frame. This absurd, chaotic edit has become a widely shared reaction meme across social media for expressing over-the-top shock or disbelief.
