Colossal horned demon with molten glow stands

About this image

A dramatic dark fantasy scene features a massive horned demon amid a blazing hellscape of lava and burning ruins. The creature’s charcoal-black, molten-textured skin and fiery eyes create an intense, cinematic mood perfect for epic fantasy art keywords like demon, lava, and apocalypse.

I think that's a debate the fandom has had since the 70s. Lot's of essays about it because Tolkien liked his metaphors. Either way, if they have them, they're useless. Balrogs always die from falling off of cliffs.

Nice. I see you're team winged Balrogs.

Of course, Balrogs don't get plot armour. Weren't they nearly hunted to extinction? [Wings and plot holes eh? "Fly, you fools.", comes to mind. Jeez that stirred ppl up😅]

They are Fallen, right? Shadow and fire. I've always imagined their inscrutable wings to be their cloak of darkness, not for flight.
