It's happened to me before too. On NC, you get credits for last place. I remember when it happened to me, I wished BP gave credits too as a "hope you get luckier next time" gift. I like Merlin. He'scool. I had folks in a flying ship harvesting lightning and it didn't do well either. But I liked mine and knew there's a price to pay for the unexpected. That's probably what happened to you as well.

Thanks for your words—and yes, I was well aware beforehand that I would be breaking the mold and, as a result, end up way at the back of the pack. But at that moment, I didn't care; I simply didn't want to create the 20th version of the exact same image.

Great picture 👍 ... oh man, feeling sorry for you, perhaps I should have been voting on the Challenge, even when I did not have entered a picture myself for this one 😅 Although, it's also an achievement the be last 😁

So true! One of the times I won, I decided to make an image similar to the header with the same color palette. Doesn't always work though. Next time I think it failed miserably.

I agree. That's why I do what I want. I'm on theme but not always the stereotyped idea of the theme. Sometimes tho the voters surprise me. You never know who you will get.

Here in Argentina we have a saying, "The last shall be first." I don't know if they say that there, or something similar. But believe me, it will be like that.

So true! I started to get confused there were so many with just slight variations. My take with the view from inside the chaser's car was not well received either.

It's as if people beleive they should stick to the image that features at the DC description - and that anything unlike it is off-theme and should not be voted.

True—you often get the feeling you're looking at the twentieth copy of the same image. 🙈 Today, I ran out of my 10 "skips" after seeing only half the pictures. 😂
