About this image

Dramatic aerial shot of a C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft plowing through dark storm clouds as lightning streaks across the sky. The rugged, gray heavy-lift plane blades through rain and turbulence, creating a powerful aviation moment with moody, high-contrast lighting and churning seas below.

While not common, I think it is simply that this person does not participate in the feed (only a small portion of us do) and instead creates image on BP that they use elsewhere. So, my guess is this person is entering contests to earn credits for the site, but chooses not to share images publicly on BP.

Click on 2nd place winner aidealverse NO followers and NO images something weird is going on here and I was going to tip them as I always have been on the Top 3 winners

I was told you can choose to not have your image not shown just thought it is really weird not not have any followers or following

Guess you got your answer now, kind of. For a fuller answer I suggest post a question in DC as perhaps 0 followers and 0 posts is a bit odd.

Great entry, loved the spin of using a plane, so picked this. Well done on Top 10

  • @DavidP ·

    You're right about that.

Florida is hurricane country, while strong tornadoes are comparatively less common. So Hurricane Hunters were my first thought. For people less familiar with hurricanes: The Air Force Reserve’s 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron and NOAA Hurricane Hunters fly directly into tropical cyclones to collect in-storm data that cannot be measured as accurately from satellites alone. Their missions measure central barometric pressure, wind speed, temperature, humidity, and storm structure, providing critical data used to improve forecasts of hurricane intensity, development, and track.

Can't image, must be so intense

    Oh ok that makes sense
