Pretty much what @CaylaCatz said. But I will add that I've been trying to credit original person for the QT. However, on a huge platform like X is it nearly impossible to find the original person who posted a QT and people just QT whoever. I imagine it will get more difficult here as well. There have been times I haven't been sure either, especially when someone redoes an older QT.

@archangeltara @sealine yeah, but I've noticed with both of Sealine and I, if someone steps up, we're both quick to add the name and link. I think it's hard to remember every QT. I don't think anyone has done Caturday but it seems like such an obvious QT that someone may have. By showing me a link, I can credit them if someone has. So far no one has. Most people do link. It may get hard in the future but so far we're still able to do it most of the time. There are a few people who never link or only link a name and I never do their QT because it's too hard to try to find the original QT when I know it exists. It's extra work for me. Many people link most of the time and admit when they can't remember -- those people are the QTs I do. A good faith effort is all any of us can do. Good manners doesn't mean you're perfect; it just means you do the best you can.

Sealine's list was to make it easier to find the QT link because some people were not putting in the QT link to the original QT image. So yes, you're still supposed to put the name of the original QT maker and a direct link to the first QT image. The difference is Sealine no longer makes a list. Now each individual has to save a list of their so it's easy for them to find the original QT link to add to their QT. The format remains the same. QT Title, original QT link and original QT person's name in the description with the QT list in the comments with the QT title and the person's name of the original QT

then how do you know about the QT? Since it's bad manners not to link the original person, almost everybody does it. Look on your notifications page, under Mentions. I bet all the QTs are still listed there unless you have deleted the notification. This is why I dislike people putting the list in the description and the comments because then I get 2 notifications. Still unless you delete, they should all be there. Bookmarking the ones you like makes it simpler because then you have a specific list of just the QTs you like instead of all of them like under Mention.
