Futuristic glowing sorceress in neon city under a full moon, with holographic data streams.
A cyberpunk-inspired scene featuring a female mystic in a shimmering, neon-blue robe standing amid a glowing, data-filled cityscape. The image blends sci-fi and fantasy with holographic circuitry, a bright full moon, and cyan-purple tones to evoke futuristic magic and digital mysticism.

Original QT: What movie with hackers in it did you like? I liked a few. Hackers and Tron was the first that came to my mind. I felt like my image embodied "Ghost in the Shell" where Major Kusanaki and the Puppet Master could hack the cyberbrain, the human minds connected to the computer interface, rewriting humans' memories and view of reality.

...you got THAT right!!

The Brosnan and Bullock I don't have on DVD. I have a decent Scifi and Fantasy collection because I used to go to the local DVD store and get stuff on sale for $5 back in the day. That store is long gone these days although Netflix managed to move from DVD to streaming. I miss the corner store tho. I liked browsing and reading the back descriptions of movies. Not as fun to do that online.

Yeah, that's how I got some hard to find one ones. The local corner DVD store would have $5 sales on movies people weren't watching much any more. Nowadays those hard to find ones are being brought back for sale digitally so that's cool. I don't have a digital movie library tho, so mine takes up too much space, lol.

I don't think I saw the Brosnan one. I loved the Matrix and also the Animatrix. I think I saw the Net but it's been awhile and my memory is vague on it. Identity erasing? something like that. I remember thinking that would be awful if it happened in real life, so much of financial and stuff is done online.

CaylaCatz

Yeah, back in the day when stores would have mega sales on DVDs to get people to come into the store and buy electronics, I'd buy scifi and fantasy whenever I could. Too many, lol.

although there are many, much more known movies, my mind goes instantly to "Johnny Mnemonic" (1995), with Keanu Reeves. Why? Because it is based on a famous story by the Father of Cyberpunk, William Gibson

Ohh!!! That was a good tactic! I remember a firend of mine when VHS cassettes were replaced by DVDs, he knew the owner of a rental-store and he bought dozens of VHS movies for almost nothing

Cool, The Net featuring Sandra Bullock comes to mind as well as the obvious, like Gibsn inspired Matrix. And then I.T. featuring Pierce Brosnan

DavidP

I loved the first Matrix and the following films progressively less so. Yes Net was about identity. The Brosnan one is worth a watch.
