Desert Nomad Redux

About this image

A cinematic desert scene features a pale elf traveler with braided hair and layered, tattered robes, standing beside a weathered wall. The sepia-toned image highlights a dramatic wanted poster, blending Old West aesthetics with fantasy elements to evoke a mysterious, adventurous mood.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Honey to my ears. I'd say, making high-ranking images does take talent and vision, but of a very specific, targeted kind. The voting process itself dictates what works, and that's being able to instantly elicit a positive knee-jerk response as the viewer sees the image at thumbnail size. I think this is a worthy skill set in general, because it likely helps with more complex images as well.

@nametaker The DC voting system is flawed, NT. Heavily. It is not honest, balanced or adjudicated fairly. A few of the creators here and I have already talked to the devs about how it is slanted code-wise at times, not to mention manipulated by the voters themselves via selfish counter-voting. It seems to work to some extent, but it's not even close to being a true indication of how art is subjectively good to a high degree.

The FTL club is only minutes old, and we are already running a circular financing scam, that's quite a start! Seriously though, thank you very much, I'm happy you like the image. NT is cool, of course.

The highest I reached so far was #5. Got it by pretty much copypasting the theme into ChatGPT and telling it to make a masterpiece. Conversely, the more I get involved, the lower an image ranks :)

I'd never doubt that! No LLM can come up with anything half as cool as your stuff.

Not mature, I just don't post challenge images on the feed, because they are mostly generic slop.

I'm glad you like it! Didn't do well in the voting, but that's anticipated.

Utterly stunning work, NT! [is it cool if a call you NT?]
